Warrior Legacy Society (Moreshet Lochamim) by Beit Halochem Israeli Wounded Veterans
Planned Giving - Mission Statement
Beit Halochem Israeli Wounded Veterans (House of the Warriors) in the West Coast Chapter of Beit Halochem USA, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization (501(c)(3)) dedicated to raising vital operational funds. These funds are instrumental in supporting our advanced Beit Halochem rehabilitation centers located in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, and Beer Sheva, as well as the forthcoming center under development in Ashdod.
Beit Halochem Israeli Wounded Veterans stands as the sole authorized institution dedicated to enabling the rehabilitation of disabled Israeli veterans. Our focus lies in providing state-of-the-art Beit Halochem (House of the Warriors) centers in Israel, which often become a cherished second home for many veterans.
We strive to raise awareness and critical funds to support a wide array of initiatives. These encompass social, cultural, and sports training and competition programs, vital PTSD services, scholarship opportunities, the inception of new initiatives, and the provision of specialized equipment for the centers.
Our Mission: Empowering Heroes to Rebuild Their Lives
Our Beit Halochem centers specialize in providing personalized therapeutic treatments, sports and recreational facilities, cultural and educational programs, scholarship support, and family-oriented activities to assist the brave defenders of Israel in rebuilding lives of significance and respect.
Collaborating closely with the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization (ZDVO), founded in 1949 following the War of Independence to cater to the needs of the approximately 6,000 disabled veterans of that conflict, Beit Halochem Israeli Wounded Veterans ensures comprehensive care and rehabilitation for those injured in active or reserve military service. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach, welcoming thousands of new members who have sustained injuries during their service, swelling its ranks to over 51,000 individuals.
Facing substantial challenges due to their severe disabilities, many disabled veterans encounter difficulties in readjusting to daily routines crucial for their physical, mental, and social well-being. Beit Halochem serves as a vital refuge, fostering social connections and alleviating the feelings of isolation and despondency often experienced by those wounded in combat or training activities.
Regrettably, despite the passage of numerous conflicts and acts of terrorism, their numbers continue to rise. The profound debt of gratitude owed to these valiant individuals by the wider Jewish community is immeasurable. Within Beit Halochem centers, a wide array of services including physical therapy, medical treatment, and diverse sports, social, family, and cultural activities are offered.
Beit Halochem Israeli Wounded Veterans proudly honors the dedication of the men and women who safeguard and serve Israel, pledging to raise crucial funds necessary to support the specialized therapies, programs, and unique opportunities provided by Beit Halochem.
